What We Believe
Triune God:
We believe there is one Holy God who exists as a three-part entity - God the Father, His son Jesus (The Word / Creator and our Savior) and the Holy Spirit (our Helper and Comforter).
“For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.” 1 John 5:7 NKJV
Inerrancy of Scripture:
We believe that the Bible is the very inspired Word of God and Jesus Christ is the Word in human form.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” John 1:1-3 NJKV
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:14-17 NKJV
Man’s Fallen Nature:
Though God created man in His image, because of Adam and Eve’s rebellion (sin) in the Garden of Eden, mankind forever lost his ability to live in close fellowship with God. Due to sin, mankind faces physical death and is destined to eternal torture and condemnation in hell … unless we personally accept Jesus Christ as our Savior.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NKJV
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned -” Romans 5:12 NKJV.
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” Romans 5:19 NKJV
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2 NKJV
“For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.” Ecclesiastes 7:20 NKJV
Come to Jesus:
Looking at the state of the world today, it is convincing that these are the last days. Everyone is heading towards eternity … unfortunately, too many people are putting more thought into planning their next vacation than where they will be spending eternity. If you have not asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and to be your Lord and Savior, please do it right now! You will never be good enough to pay the penalty for your sins. Hell is a horrible place, but the gospel proclaims that Jesus paid the price for you to live in pure joy and love with Him in Heaven - if you will only accept it. The Bible says you can know that you are going to heaven. God loves you very much and Jesus made a way for you to be with God in eternity.
“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:12-13 NJKV
Salvation:
Salvation cannot be earned through doing good deeds, making financial contributions, or practicing religious or cultural rituals. The gift of salvation is free and can easily be yours by 1) asking Jesus to forgive your sins, based on His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection, and turning away from repeating them, and 2) placing your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord, Savior and a Friend like no other. Once salvation is attained, the new believer is promised an eternal life spent with God the Father.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’” John 3:3 NKJV
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 NKJV
“And Mary said: ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.’” Luke 1:46-47 NKJV
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” Romans 5:1 NKJV
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,” 1 Timothy 2:5 NKJV
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” John 1:12 NKJV
“…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13 NKJV
Purpose of the Church:
Jesus was given all authority in heaven and on earth and instructed the church to go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit – to teach Christians to love the Lord God with all their heart, soul, and mind … and to love their neighbors as themselves.
“Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” Matthew 28:16-20 NKJV
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:36-39 NKJV
